To make the installation of updates as simple as possible, TuneUp Utilities contains the module TuneUp Update Wizard. This module automatically looks for a newer version of TuneUp Utilities on the Internet, then downloads and installs any available updates. The updates are very small, so they can be downloaded quickly.
Note: By going to General settings and accessing the Updates tab, you can define if TuneUp Utilities should automatically check for updates and also specify how often you want to be informed of updates.
Starting TuneUp Update Wizard
First, open the TuneUp Utilities Start Center. You will find the TuneUp Update Wizard in a dark gray area at the upper edge of the Start Center, directly under the blue title bar.
In the Start Center, click on the text Update Wizard to start the module.
Using the TuneUp Update Wizard
If your computer has an Internet connection, the TuneUp Update Wizard will automatically search for updates. If the TuneUp Update Wizard cannot establish a connection, it will offer a list of connections for you to choose from. In general, the correct connection is recognized automatically and selected for you. However, if you have multiple connections set up on your system or use a network to access the Internet, you should verify the selection and (if necessary) select the correct connection type by clicking on the corresponding entry. As soon as you have made your selection, you can start the scan for updates by clicking on Next.
TuneUp Update Wizard now establishes a connection to the Internet and checks whether there are new updates for your product. This may take a few seconds. If updates are available, a brief overview of them will be displayed. Click Next to automatically download and install the available updates. After successful installation, click on Finish to end the TuneUp Update Wizard.
