Windows® and several 3rd party programs don’t take the steps necessary to cover up traces and wipe temporary files. These files don’t just consume precious disk space; they may also contain personal information that shouldn’t fall into the wrong hands. Not to mention the fact that Windows® slows to a crawl and certain programs won’t even start once your hard drive’s full.
